THE LESS QUICK VERSION

Make the room safer by how you use it.

The dance floor works best when everyone can choose their own boundaries, partners, roles and level of participation.

01 · RESPECT

No harassment.

Harassment includes offensive or degrading comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking or following, unwanted sexual attention, inappropriate physical contact, sustained disruption, or harassing photography and recording.

02 · CONSENT

A dance is an invitation, not an obligation.

Anyone may decline a dance, end a dance or change their mind without having to explain why. Respect verbal and non-verbal boundaries. Never pressure someone for a dance, physical closeness or continued interaction.

03 · DANCE FLOOR

Share the room.

Dance with awareness of the people around you. Adjust movement to the available space and your partner’s comfort. Aerials and high-risk movements belong only where they are specifically allowed and safely managed.

04 · PHOTOS

Document the event without ignoring people.

Official photography and filming take place at LISA. Personal photography must never become intrusive or harassing. Recording classes requires instructor permission.

05 · INCLUSION

People belong here as themselves.

We do not tolerate harassment or discrimination related to gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion or lack of religion.

06 · RESPOND

If asked to stop, stop.

Participants asked to stop inappropriate or harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Organisers may take any action they consider appropriate for the safety of the event.

SPEAK TO US

If something feels wrong, you can tell us.

If you experience harassment, notice it happening to someone else, or have another safety concern, contact a member of the LISA team. We will listen, take the concern seriously and decide on appropriate next steps.

Where needed, staff can help participants contact venue staff, local services or law enforcement, or help someone move to a safer space.
